Who we are
Christ Church Trumpington began in 2014 in Trumpington, Cambridge.
We are a group of Christians of different ages and different nationalities, but all with a heart to serve and show God’s love to the growing community in and around Trumpington.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and that what the Bible teaches us about him is the best news there is – for everyone!
Jesus Christ is the person at the heart of the Christian faith That’s why he is central to all we do and teach as a church – even our name!
A brief history
Christ Church Trumpington (CCT) was launched as an initiative of Rock Baptist Church, and with the support of the Fellowship of Independent Churches (FIEC), in 2014. Sunday services began in the Fawcett Primary School hall on Sunday 14th September 2014.
Trumpington was, and still is, a fast growing part of Cambridge and we wanted to see a church established as a gospel witness to the growing community in and around Trumpington.
In April 2016 CCT became an independent church and charity registered with the Charity Commission. Later that year the former Free Church building (dating back to 1899) on Alpha Terrace became available and CCT now use that for midweek groups and activities, church offices, and events with Sunday morning services remaining in the Fawcett Primary School hall.
