Christ Church Trumpington is led by a team of elders, supported by deacons and staff.
Andrew Sweasey
Pastor
Andrew has been the Pastor of Christ Church Trumpington since its inception in 2014. He lives in Trumpington with his wife Helen and their four children. Andrew grew up locally and prior to training for church ministry worked as a chartered surveyor and project manager for a construction consultancy in Cambridge.
Prior to Christ Church Trumpington starting, Andrew was Assistant Pastor at Rock Baptist Church and had been on the leadership team since 2010.
Andrew has a heart for sharing the good news of Jesus in the community in and around Trumpington.
He was a governor at Trumpington Community College for 5 years and in his spare time enjoys cycling, the occasional game of squash, watching football and cricket and settling down with a good biography.
Simon Patterson
Associate Pastor
Simon has been Associate Pastor at CCT since September 2023.
Prior to this he was Pastor of an FIEC church in Poole for 12 years. He studied Theology in Bridgend and Edinburgh.
Simon is married to Kirsty and they have five children. In his spare time he enjoys reading, music and karate.

I put my trust in Christ at the end of my time at university, so I have a good perspective on the difference it makes to try to lead a life with God at its centre.
I have been a deacon since 2005 and am still running with perseverance the race marked out for me, enjoying making a difference for Christ at CCT, together with my wife and three children. You might also occasionally find me on a golf course…
Stuart Rimmer
Treasurer
I came to faith in my teenage years having wrestled with questions around how a God of love could seemingly allow evil in the world. I grew in faith during university where I also enjoyed serving in practical ways across church life.
My wife Sarah and I were pleased to be part of the initial group starting CCT and have been thrilled to see it grow over the years.
I serve as treasurer for church, am part of the music team and enjoy helping out in other practical ways where I can.

I made my own personal decision to follow Christ in my teenage years. Since then, I have spent my whole ‘working’ life in different parts of nursing. I’ve really loved being part of CCT and it feels an enormous privilege to serve here now as a deacon.

Practical support
I grew up a strict Muslim trying to achieve God’s approval. But through my wife becoming a Christian, hearing Christians sing on a church weekend, I came to understand that Jesus went to the cross for my sin and rose after three days to give me new life. In 2017 I joined CCT, where I have really grown in my understanding of what it means to serve and belong to a local church family.

Catering and hospitality
In 2008, along with my family, we migrated to the UK in search of a better life. Things were tough and I felt out of place. And so, after a difficult night, we went to a church to find peace. After attending a church for a year, I came to understand the gospel. It has been a blessing to be part of the CCT family, and I am delighted to serve the Lord here as one of the deacons.

Judy Alfred
Church Administrator
Judy has been attending CCT since the time she moved to the United Kingdom. She has joined as a part time Church Administrator since September 2023. She enjoys her role and has found great companionship with Christ in this foreign land.
